2. How to Play Virtual Bingo
2.1 Join via Zoom meeting
An email with further instructions on how to join the event will be sent out to participants that acquired bingo cards/raffle tickets a few days before the event.
2.2 Randomized Bingo Cards
Each participant that acquired bingo cards will receive a separate email with a virtual link for each of the bingo cards acquired. You can play all of them on a single screen or have them on different screens.
2.3 Play Bingo
The idea is you can win when you're the first one to cover 5 squares in a row (either horizontally, vertically or diagonally or many more patterns- but they all must be touching squares!). Having more bingo cards gives you more possibilities to win. The center square is a joker and you don't have to cross that one. The pattern that is being played will be given at the start of each bingo game.
2.4 How to win a bingo game
If you're lucky enough to win you need to shout ‘bingo’. You win by marking ALL squares needed for the pattern that you are playing. The caller will stop the game, ask you for your bingo card ID that you’ll find printed on your bingo card or on the virtual link sent to you. The bingo caller then double-checks if you've really won.
2.5 In case of 2 or more participants called bingo
If two or more players shout ‘bingo’ and win at the same time, all of them win! The 1st, 2nd and 3rd places will be determined by DRAW. The draw rules are as follows: The bingo caller will draw a bingo ball for each of the tied participants and the one with the higher value wins the first prize, the second the second prize and so on.
Prizes will be redeem/collected personally by winners at the reception of the German International School of Washington D.C.school at a date to be determined after the event. Winners will be notified per email about the details. The prizes will be held at the school through the end of 2021. After December 31th 2021 winners that have not redeem/collect their prizes will forfeit them and they become property of the FRIENDS of the German International School Charitable Trust to be used as prizes in future events. Disclaimer: We reserve the right to change/modify the prizes according to actual availability.
